It’s that time again: A new NFL season is right around the corner. Let’s go!
Before we get into the latest training camp brawls, 2026 season predictions, and fantasy drafts, let’s talk about how we got here.
The Seattle Seahawks—and team legend Marshawn Lynch—are still celebrating after putting the hurt on Drake Maye and the Patriots en route to the franchise’s second Super Bowl victory. We should all be so lucky as to never get sacked like that. Next came the draft, where a LinkedIn influencer was taken #1 overall by the Las Vegas Raiders. (Hot take: We’re going to get some great videos of Fernando Mendoza’s pump-up speeches this season…followed by a whole lot of Raiders Ls.) Then we got to free agency, and the fun really began.
Every season I stare at mock drafts and wonder Wait, he plays for who now? This season is no different, and it’ll take a while to get used to seeing stars like Super Bowl MVP Kenneth Walker III running up the gut for the Kansas City Chiefs. The Offseason’s Biggest Movers and Shakers:
- Myles Garrett - Cleveland Browns → Los Angeles Rams: Widely touted as one of the biggest trades in NFL history, the already formidable Rams defense adding the league’s single-season sack record holder won’t make trips to SoFi Stadium any easier for their opponents. The Rams’ edge-rushing woes are now behind them, and as Head Coach Sean McVay said after the deal, “Being able to acquire a player like this, these things don’t come up often.” …and that’s not even taking into account the team’s efforts to convince future Hall of Famer Aaron Donald to come out of retirement. For those looking to add him to their collection before he takes over Tinsel Town, snag a Myles Garrett rookie card from our marketplace.
- A.J. Brown - Philadelphia Eagles → New England Patriots: Man, how the rich get richer. Sure, the Pats gave up a first-round pick to get rising star Drake Maye a true WR1 after last year’s surprise Super Bowl run, but, as Maye himself said after the trade, “It’s hard not to get excited.” Whether or not he’ll have the opportunity to once again become a sideline scholar this season is still up in the air, but Patriots fans should find his antics worthwhile if he produces the way he did in Tennessee and Philly. - Kenneth Walker III - Seattle Seahawks → Kansas City Chiefs: Why do we keep letting Mahomes get away with this? Yes, Andy Reid and co. will be holding their breath every snap Patrick Mahomes takes this season, but plenty of NFL fans are sighing as they see the Chiefs Kingdom score another offensive stud. Is he worth the price tag he comes with? And has that answer shifted in light of recent deals handed out to running backs? Only time will tell, but trading Pacheco for Walker is definitely an upgrade—and the Super Bowl MVP’s rookie card is a nice statement piece for any collection.
- Jaylen Waddle - Miami Dolphins → Denver Broncos: Denver certainly paid a price to get another deep threat to pair alongside Courtland Sutton. Bo Nix, J.K. Dobbins, Sutton, Waddle, Troy Franklin, and Evan Engram, oh my! The Broncos are in ‘win now’ mode, and we don’t blame them. If you think that Nix can take this team to the Big Game—and that Waddle will be doing his signature touchdown dance all season long instead of dealing with nagging injuries once again—now’s your chance to grab a Jaylen Waddle rookie card from our marketplace.
- Travis Etienne Jr. - Jacksonville Jaguars → New Orleans Saints: Is Bhayshul Tuten the guy the Jags think he is? What about Tyler Shough in the Big Easy? I’m sold on one, not the other, and I’ll leave that guesswork up to you, dear reader. Either way I’m sad the bromance between college teammates Etienne Jr. and Trevor Lawrence is finally over. Maybe a fresh start will benefit the veteran RB1, who returns to his home state to pair with Alvin Kamara as a fun backfield duo. Nobody wants to win the NFC South these days, so we could see the return of playoff football for the Saints if Etienne puts up familiar numbers. Want to get on the bandwagon? Honorable Mentions:
- DJ Moore - Chicago Bears → Buffalo Bills: I won’t lie: I love to see people jump through tables. With Josh Allen at the helm, Bills fans can count on double-digit wins each season. The question now is whether he can get over the hump and take this team to the Super Bowl. He tried his best last year without anyone of note to throw to, and longtime GM Brandon Beane went out and got his superstar a WR1—at least we think. The Bills definitely do, judging by what they paid. If others agree, this DJ Moore National Treasures Rookie Patch Auto (RPA), numbered to just 25, found on the Courtyard marketplace should go fast. We love a good logo!
- Drake Maye - Super Bowl Runner-Up → New England: This one is a little tongue-in-cheek, but if the Drake Maye we saw throughout most of last season returns in 2026, Pats fans will feel like they’ve got a whole new QB compared to what we saw last February—and there’s a nice Drake Maye Donruss Optic Uptowns rookie card on the marketplace just waiting for a new home.
