THE BACK TO SCHOOL DROP

The Back To School drop is the very first application of our tokenization technology. We sourced 800 unique PSA graded Pokémon cards from trusted dealers to recreate a NFT drop experience with physically backed assets on the Polygon blockchain.

Each pack is priced at 0.2 WETH (ETH on Polygon) and contains an ERC721 NFT that is backed by a unique, physical PSA graded Pokémon card. The collection will be revealed a few days after the end of the drop and will include dozens of highly desirable cards from various sets - primarily from the Base Set Unlimited and 1st Editions. All the physical cards will be stored in a secured vault facility operated by our partner, Brink's.

PREPARE FOR THE DROP

In order to participate in the drop, you will need to gather some Wrapped-ETH on Polygon (WETH) to pay for your NFTs, and some MATIC to pay for the transaction fees. We prepared a tutorial to help you best prepare.

COURTYARD TECHNOLOGY

Courtyard has partnered with Brink’s, one of the largest security companies in the world, to store and insure physical collectibles and create corresponding NFTs for each asset. The NFT is a 3D model that acts as a voucher to redeem the underlying asset.

Users have several options:
‍
- Trade their physically backed NFT on any Polygon compatible marketplace.
‍- Burn their NFT on Courtyard’s website to redeem the underlying asset.
‍- Hold their valued collection as a NFT and connect with other collectors
‍
This will help provide additional liquidity to the trading of collectibles and allow collectors to display their IRL collection in the metaverse.
